Personal: Born & raised in Buffalo, NY and still a Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan. He has been married to a local Detroit woman for 30 years. For those of you interested in Myers-Briggs: he is a ESFJ (borderline ESTJ).
Education: Includes a Bachelor in Civil Engineering from the University of Detroit (1971), a Masters in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University (1974) and a participant in the Transportation Professional Program at Carnegie Mellon University (1976).
Registered Michigan PE.
Work Experience: Almost evenly distributed between public and private sectors. Private sector activities focused on international management consulting for several industries: auto manufacturers, financial institutions and developers. Problems addressed included: location analysis and logistics. Public sector experience is related to transportation planning and operations at the state (both NY and MI), regional (SEMCOG), and county (RCOC) levels.
Volunteer Efforts: Has served as both a member and chair of various civic and community groups including: homeowners, city planning and engineering, chamber of commerce and church.

• Other: member of both the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and the Congress for New Urbanism (CNU).
• Transportation: representing MDOT on various ITS-America, ITS-Michigan, and AASHTO Committees.
