Alan Huynh
Transportation Planner
Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
Alan Huynh is a Senior at the University of Southern California majoring in Urban Planning. He currently works at Transportation Management Systems (TMS) in Pasadena, CA as a transportation planner and with the Orangeline Development Authority and WTS Los Angeles where he handles their social media and communication outreach. Alan has worked for the Transportation Planning Departments at the City of Gresham in Oregon where we wrote and was awarded ODOT grants; and the City of Pasadena in California where he helped write a federal TIGER grant. He has also worked on various research Committees in Los Angeles County and the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (Metrolink). Alan was recently published in The New Planner, an online journal of the American Planning Association detailing the importance of implementing transportation demand management (TDM) strategies.
At the University of Southern California, Alan helps with instructional design by utilizing social media tools to help faculty understand how to use and leverage social media and Web 2.0 into their course design. His understanding of Social Media, Web 2.0, and mobile technology helps him think of innovative and creative urban planning solutions that targets the triple bottom line.
