As Vice President, Marketing & Sales for Fisher Coachworks, John S. Van Alstyne leads all sales, marketing and business development functions, contributes to business strategy and funding initiatives, and is currently additionally leading Advanced Supply Chain initiatives. John brings breadth and strategic perspective to Fisher’s senior leadership team with a pedigree in marketing plus significant cross-functional sales, strategy and P&L general management experience gained over twenty years with global market leaders serving the B2B transportation sector.
Van Alstyne joined Fisher in 2007 from Ricardo Plc, where he concurrently held the roles of Group Marketing Officer and Vice President Business Development, Marketing & Strategy for Ricardo US. During six-years with Ricardo, a leading global product development and strategic consulting firm, he honed his technical and market knowledge in hybrids, controls and electronics, advanced powertrains and complete vehicle development; all key technology enablers and differentiators for Fisher.
Over his career, VanAlstyne has held a series of entrepreneurial leadership roles where he drove growth through organic initiatives, teaming agreements and joint ventures. Prior to Ricardo, VanAlstyne spent nine years with Freudenberg-NOK, a leading lean-systems technical specialist where he held a series of general management roles focused on new business start-ups and senior sales & marketing leadership roles. John earned an MBA with honors from the Advanced Management Program of Michigan Sate University and a Marketing degree from Western Michigan University.
