SMART Conference Participants

As a student leader at Art Center College of Design, Adam Mefford has worked to found organizations which prepare students for a future in which designers take more responsibility for the direction of our society. To this aim he founded MINT, which focuses on entrepreneurship, and Axis, which explores the opportunities for designers in new forms of transportation. These groups build upon the course work by providing flexible, long-range affiliations. As communities grow around these interests, designers become better aware of the context and application of their work while training the character traits necessary to lead change.
