Gay MacGregor
Gay MacGregor joined the United States Environmental Protection Agency in 1983. Currently she serves as senior policy advisor to EPA’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality in Ann Arbor, MI. She works with EPA’s voluntary transportation programs including: the SmartWay Transport Partnership, Clean School Bus USA and the National Clean Diesel Campaign. She co-chairs the Clean Air Act Advisory Committee’s Working Group on Clean Diesel, as well as EPA’s Agency-wide Ports Team. The Ports Team focuses on reducing the environmental impacts of goods movement. Previously, she co-chaired EPA’s Linking Land-use, Transportation and Air Quality Sub-committee and directed the Transportation Conformity Program. During her tenure at EPA, she has also served in EPA’s Office of Administration in Washington, DC and in the Pacific Southwest Region 9 in San Francisco. Prior to coming to EPA, she worked for the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and the State of New Mexico. She has a graduate degree in public affairs from North Carolina State University and has done graduate work in urban planning at University of Michigan.
