Kris Locke
Manager of CommuterChoice, TDM & Sustainability at Harvard University’s Transportation Services Department, Kris Locke promotes sustainable transportation options to employees for commuting to and around campus. This spring Boston Mayor Tom Menino honored the university with a Bicycle Friendly Business Award for its efforts on the Allston campus. Employed at Harvard in a variety of administrative and financial roles since 1996, Kris has worked on many sustainability and energy reduction programs including the RESTORE project, a collaborative initiative to refurbish university computers for employee use, thus promoting computer literacy while lowering the environmental footprint. Kris’ passion for the environment extends beyond the walls of Harvard into the Greater Boston community. She is an active member of the Quincy Environmental Network and treasurer of Sustainable South Shore, organizations committed to creating model sustainable communities. Kris received a Master of Liberal Arts in Government and Master’s Certificate in Administration and Management at Harvard’s Extension School and is currently a candidate for Master of Liberal Arts in Environmental Management.
