Ann Evans Larimore is Professor Emerita of Geography and Women's Studies. She has done geographical fieldwork in the Middle East and Africa in urbanizing agrarian societies and their development issues, especially those concerning women. She is part of a team developing the GEOMAT method of time-space analysis and presentation : Geographical Events Ordering: Maps, Archives, Timelines. She is particularly concerned with the harmonious integration of modern and traditional modes of transportation that balance the concerns and needs of rural people in urban hinterlands with the modernizing changes in central cities.
