Dr. Byoung-Suk Kweon
Dr. Byoung-Suk Kweon conducts interdisciplinary research that involves understanding human-environment relationships. Her research focuses on how natural and built environments influence people's behaviors such as social integration, neighborhood satisfaction, physical activities, and active transportation. She has conducted research projects in different physical environments such as outdoor open spaces, school walk zones, transportation corridors, and other urban environments. She recently completed two funded research projects on school commuting environments and their effects on children walking and biking to school through the Texas Transportation Institute.
