Leslie E. Kettren
Leslie E. Kettren, AICP, PCP, is a professional community planner with an extensive background in Downtown and Pedestrian Planning and Economic Development. She has worked in the towns of Milford, Ferndale, Clawson, East Lansing, Imlay City and Adrian, Michigan and in Sellersburg, Indiana and Claremont, New Hampshire.
Ms. Kettren has been elected to public office, served on a planning commission and also on many national state and local boards and committees. She is past president of the Michigan Association of Planning and was elected to the American Planning Association as a Boardmember At-large. Leslie is currently the Chair of the Chapter Organization Committee to form the Michigan Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism.
Leslie often speaks at conferences and has published many planning articles and reports, the most recent was a book titled Talking the Walk: Building Walkable Communities. She is a site visitor for the Planning Accreditation Board; most recently evaluated the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Masters Degree of Urban Planning program for reaccredidation. Leslie serves as adjunct faculty for Eastern Michigan University, teaching a special topics course called Planning for Walkability. In 2003, she formed Kettren & Associates, Incorporated, a planning consulting firm.
