Nicholas S. Cucinelli is President and CEO of Octillion Corp. (OTCBB:OCTL), a next-generation technology incubator focused on the identification, acquisition, development, and commercialization of alternative and renewable energy technologies (www.octillioncorp.com). The company is currently developing a novel, nanotechnology-enabled photovoltaic device and exploring opportunities in building-integrated energy systems, sustainable mobility, and other areas. Prior to joining Octillion, Mr. Cucinelli worked to commercialize photovoltaic, advanced battery, fuel cell, solid-state hydrogen storage, and novel chalcogenide-based information technologies at Energy Conversion Devices (NASDAQ:ENER). He also consulted for Ford Motor Company (sustainable mobility), BP plc (advanced biofuels), and the Carbon Disclosure Project (www.cdproject.net), and meritoriously served 16 years in the United States Coast Guard and Coast Guard Reserve (www.uscg.mil/hq/g-cp/cb/Dec2000/heroes.php), reaching the rank of Lieutenant Commander (O-4). Mr. Cucinelli holds an MBA and MS through the University of Michigan?s Erb Institute for Global Sustainable Enterprise, where he helped launch the SMART initiative. He serves on the board of the Great Lakes Renewable Energy Association (www.glrea.org), and is an avid bicycle commuter, logging (and surviving) in excess of 10,000 non-motorized, metropolitan rush-hour miles in the last decade.
