Dr. Apoorv Agarwal
Dr. Apoorv Agarwal is a technical expert and project leader in Ford Motor Company's Powertrain Research & Advanced Engineering organization. His technical work focuses on development of engine simulation tools, combustion system design for conventional and alternate fuels and development of turbocharged direct injection engines. As an employee of a company whose founder defined personal mobility for the masses in the early 20th century, Dr. Agarwal has a strong personal interest in making personal mobility sustainable in the early 21st century. This interest was sparked after he organized a session at the National Academy of Engineering's 2006 Frontiers of Engineering conference on "Engineering Personal Mobility for the 21st Century". Dr. Agarwal holds bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, respectively.
