What inspires me about SMART:
SMART gives us the opportunity to change and shape the future of Michigan, through smarter development and land use decisions.
Biography:
I am Marcus Jones, 2nd year dual masters degree candidate, with the School of Natural Resources & Environment and Urban Planning, focusing on environmental planning, land use, and development with a strong interest in trans-oriented real estate development. I am also a licensed Realtor, working with investors and developers in acquiring property for smart development or conservation. My goal after graduation is to redevelop urban areas, concentrating development around transient nodes. I believe smarter transportation and development practices are both needed more sustainable yet viable growth.
