Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. is the marketing, sales, distribution and customer service arm of Toyota, Lexus and Scion. Established in 1957, TMS markets products and services through a network of more than 1,500 Toyota, Lexus and Scion dealers. Toyota directly employs more than 28,000 people in the U.S. and sold more than 1.7 million vehicles in 2009.
Each summer, Toyota hires MBA interns for our Torrance, CA headquarters. The 12-week summer Internship opportunities may include, but are not limited to:

- North American Planning
- Product Planning
- Strategic Research
In past summers, MBA interns have worked on projects such as: domestic/global brand study, new retail channels study, new vehicle launches, trend analysis, competitor analysis, buyer segmentation studies, and vehicle positioning strategies. Toyota also prepares a summer activity schedule that includes executive interaction, social, and team building events.
This is a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure to a globally respected organization. We are looking for individuals with a strong analytical background, the ability to communicate clearly, and to formulate and present cogent, intellectually sound explanations in their work. Good public speaking and presentation skills are essential to the role. Additionally, an ideal candidate would have project management experience, and demonstrate initiative and efficiency in their work. An interest in the automotive industry, particularly in Toyota, is a plus.
To be considered, qualified candidates have completed the first year of a MBA program with a focus in General Management or Strategy and 4+ consecutive years of progressive pre-MBA work experience. MBA Interns are the main feeder for Toyota’s Graduate Management Associate (GMA) Program.
